" Immeasurably "
Wow! The kids are back in school and the fairs are over. The festivals are starting to wrap up and the crops are starting to show signs of maturing. It has been a very enjoyable summer for our family. It has also been a summer of much concern. I can't begin to tell you the number of people I have encountered with major health concerns, difficult family crisis and numerous untimely deaths. My heart so goes out to each of these people and their families. I wish I could do something to make it better or go away, but most of the time all I can do is pray.
I find it a privilege to pray for these people, but I also find this huge annoyance at the same time...ME! I find that many times when I talk to our Daddy in Heaven, that my thoughts and concerns come back to me and my so-called problems and issues. As I remember the things that others are dealing with I feel such guilt for bothering God with my petty stuff.
But...the fact of the matter is that everyone's stuff is real to them. The fact of the matter is that God cares about each one. The fact of the matter is that God is with us and will never leave us or forsake us!
There is a verse that has become super special to me over this summer as I have tried to carry the burdens of others and it is found in Ephesians 3.20. Paul writes, "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us!" It goes on in the next verse to say, "to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen!" Keep taking your cares and the cares of others to Him! He can do immeasurably more than we could ever think or imagine with His power for His Glory! Remember...He cares for you!
