I do hope as you reflect on 2010 that you are able to have a heart of gratitude no matter what circumstances and situations you may have experienced. It is our desire and prayer that 2011 will be a blessing to you and your family.
As we enter 2011 with plans, goals, resolutions, agendas, etc., there is a short verse that is found in one of my favorite chapters that I would like to share with you. It says 'rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn.' It is one of those simple phrases that seems like such a no brainer that we don't grasp the power in it. I would do well to listen to it.
If my neighbor gets to rent the nice farm next door, what do I do? Do I feel sorry for myself or get angry, envious or do I 'rejoice' with him? If my neighbor loses his job and everything's okie dokie with me, do I say 'I will pray for you'and think about him no more or do I 'mourn' with him?
I know 2011 will be a great year as long as i don't think a lick about me and simply focus on loving the people around me. it is a great formula for living. It has been modeled for us to perfection! (all the way to the cross!)
Thanks again for the way you continue to bless and support us. We truly appreciate each of you.
Blessings,
Chris
